We just wrapped up an eight-week program of equine assisted therapy, or EAT, providing veterans a chance to try a new type of therapy. A therapy that brings your growing relationship with the horse to the forefront. Often, clients in EAT don’t talk directly about problems, issues or fears, rather build a relationship with the horses to build social coping and relationship skills that can be generalized to their everyday relationships and struggles. The open group will focus on helping veterans learn and practice coping skills for symptoms of anxiety, PTSD and depression.
