Outing Report: September 2024

You can always count on us to make the most of every season! Summer 2024 was glorious — and we’re confident the fall has plenty of fun and friendship in store, too.

2024 Golf Fundraiser at Meridian Golf Club
Englewood, September 9

More than 100 friends new and old joined us for a beautiful day on this Jack Nicklaus-designed course, and judging from all the smiles, everyone was having a great time. After a full morning of golf, we gathered on the club’s beautiful outdoor patio for a hearty lunch and chances to win auction items and other prizes. Our biggest thanks to everyone who turned out; Meridian Golf Club; our board members and volunteers; event donors and sponsors; and our emcee, sports announcer Conor McGahey, for generous support that advances our mission. Blacksmithing and Welding with Kilroy’s Workshop

Participants of all skill levels love working on various projects at Kilroy’s, where they find expert instruction and friendship. Kilroy’s offers a wide range of classes for kids and adults — including workshops on jewelry-making and a seven-week welding academy for people interested in pursuing a professional career in the trade.

Fly Fishing at Lincoln Hills with Anglers of Honor

The leaves are turning, and the creek and ponds have perfect conditions for catching trout! We started the day with the fundamentals of fly fishing thanks to expert guides with Front Range Anglers before taking to the water for an enjoyable time of learning and camaraderie in the great outdoors. Our thanks to Gondolier Restaurant for another tasty lunch, Lincoln Hills and all of our volunteers who helped make this event posssible.
