Annual Dove Hunt

Dove Hunt at Valhalla Hunt Club
It’s opening day for dove season. We gathered in a grassy field with trees and a pond. We spread out under the trees, which are located close by. The doves flew overhead, some spotted us and veered off. With dove hunting, you have to be quiet and invisible, the doves are small, fast and erratic in their flight pattern.

At the end of our morning hunt, we managed a bag of doves, which will be very appreciated around the dinner table. We headed back to the clubhouse for lunch and small talk about the upcoming hunting season. It’s been a great day and a big thanks to Valhalla Hunt Club, and Russell and Steph for hosting us.
