Wild Game Cooking Class
Specialty Appliance was very generous in donating their kitchen and showroom for our first Wild Game cooking class this past Sunday with participants from Operation TBI Freedom and Ft. Carson Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB). Chef Leslie Fangman instructed the group, using the best appliances and cutting utensils to demonstrate. She presented recipes from her cookbook, “The Art of Cooking Wild Game,” using elk, antelope and salmon as the main focus for the class. She also discussed upland birds, fish and other wild game recipes.
All of the Vets who attended the class are outdoorsmen and are looking forward to using the skills they learned in the class on their harvests from the outdoors. There were plenty of questions for Chef Leslie and the food was fantastic. Everyone had a great time learning, eating and conversing with one another. A big thanks to Chef Leslie Fangman, Speciality Appliance and all the volunteers.
