Anglers of Honor at Lincoln Hills
We are in the Colorado mountains, the temperature is perfect and the river and ponds plentiful with trout. We have a ready-to-go group of wounded warriors and Craig Hospital patients, along with the Anglers of Honor guides and volunteers. We started with the fundamentals of fly fishing, casting, knots and gear. Now it’s time to put the waders on and pair up with the guides. Some of the group will go to the river, and others to the pond. The river seems to be fishing better than the pond, but it’s hard not to have a great time when you are surrounded by beautiful mountains.

We enjoyed our fantastic lunch on the deck overlooking the water, provided and prepared by the Escoffier Culinary Academy of Boulder. It’s been a wonderful day full of fun, rest, peace and healing for the participants. A big thanks to all the Anglers of Honor guides, volunteers, staff and organizing that made today possible. Special thanks to Taskforce ISO for capturing this amazing day in photos, click on the gallery to view.
