This weekend we had an amazing time with a group of five veterans who gathered at Kilroy’s Workshop in Colorado Springs to learn the fundamentals of blacksmithing. Our Master Blacksmith Ron Hardman took his time to make sure everyone understood the safety procedures and what the class would entail. They learned a little bit about the history of blacksmithing and were shown some skills and techniques. The group then applied what they learned towards creating a Viking knife to take home with them. Thank you to our partners at Kilroy’s for providing the opportunity for our participants to experience this activity!
