The Hanger Foundation has generously provided a $5,000 grant to support our therapeutic, recreational outings for military veterans and others with PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), paralysis, limb loss, and spinal cord injury — and everyone at the River Deep Foundation is grateful.
“Our employees serving on the Grant Giving Committee felt inspired by the work of the River Deep Foundation and were eager to provide funding for programming and outreach,” Hanger Foundation Board President Scott Rowe said. “We believe that programs like these can be life-changing for our veterans and others impacted by trauma.”
Indeed, our organizations are very similar in mission and mindset. The nonprofit Hanger Foundation was established in 2009 by Hanger Inc., a leading provider of orthotic and prosthetic patient care services and products for more than 160 years. The Hanger Foundation seeks to empower people with physical challenges to live life as fully as possible — and we invite you to learn more about its great work at hangerfoundation.org.
